About the Westwood Neighborhood Association (WNA)
The Westwood Neighborhood Association (WNA) is a grassroots, resident-led organization committed to building a stronger, healthier, and more unified Westwood. We believe that every resident deserves access to clean air, nutritious food, quality healthcare, and safe spaces to live, learn, and grow.
Founded by and for the people of Westwood, the WNA serves as a bridge between the community, local leaders, and external partners. Through advocacy, education, and hands-on action, we work to protect our neighborhood’s legacy while paving the way for its future.
Meet Our President Bryan Bruce
Bryan Bruce, President of the Westwood Neighborhood Association (WNA), is a proud son of Westwood. Born and raised in the heart of the community, Bryan is a graduate of Westwood High School and a lifelong advocate for the people who call 38109 home. His roots run deep, his parents still live in the neighborhood and his passion for revitalizing Westwood stems from a personal commitment to protect and uplift the place that shaped him.
At the core of Bryan’s mission is a fight for health equity and education. Westwood is currently classified as a food desert, and its residents face the daily reality of limited access to fresh, nutritious food. In addition, the community continues to suffer from pollution and environmental injustices that disproportionately affect the 38109 ZIP code.
Under Bryan’s leadership, the WNA is pushing for meaningful change. He is a strong voice demanding the development of health services and facilities that serve the people not just in theory, but in practice. From advocating for clean air and water to championing local education on nutrition and wellness, Bryan is determined to give Westwood a real chance at thriving.
His vision is simple but powerful: a healthy, informed, and united Westwood one where no resident is left behind.
